We are looking for a Senior AI Engineer with deep expertise in NLP to join our growing team. You will lead the design, development, and deployment of advanced AI models, working on cutting-edge NLP projects that impact real-world applications. As a senior member of the team, you will mentor junior engineers, collaborate cross-functionally, and contribute to scaling our AI infrastructure.

This is a Remote position. Headquartered in Berlin, we are hiring across Germany, Turkey, Spain, Romania and North Macedonia.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, and deployment of AI/ML models with a strong focus on Natural Language Processing (NLP)
• Build and optimize deep learning pipelines using TensorFlow and/or PyTorch
• Collaborate closely with data scientists, product managers, and DevOps engineers to take models from prototype to production
• Architect scalable solutions using AWS, Docker, and NoSQL technologies
• Implement and maintain CI/CD best practices across machine learning workflows
• Monitor and improve the performance of existing models and data pipelines
• Stay up-to-date with the latest research, tools, and trends in AI, ML, and NLP

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, with a strong emphasis on Natural Language Processing
• Advanced proficiency in Python for machine learning and data science
• Proven experience delivering end-to-end NLP model solutions
• Solid understanding and hands-on experience with AWS
• Practical experience with Docker, SQL and NoSQL databases, CI/CD pipelines
• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent communication skills
• Capable of independently driving complex technical initiatives from concept to deployment

Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)

• Experience with MLOps tools and workflows
• Prior experience in a startup or scale-up environment
• Proficiency with both TensorFlow and PyTorch is a plus
• Familiarity with data annotation, labeling tools, or human-in-the-loop systems
• Relevant certifications, such as AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty or AWS Certified Solutions Architect
