Project Coordinator

Our construction client is seeking a Project Coordinator to join their growing team. In this role you will be responsible for overseeing project cost and scheduling systems, coordinating the work of staff assigned to the site, and ensuring efficient communication between the team, consultants, and contractors.

This is a hybrid position, located in Downtown Ottawa, ON.

Responsibilities:

• Project administration, cost tracking, and scheduling.
• Coordinate project activities, ensuring timely and efficient communication between stakeholders.
• Perform estimating functions for changes, addenda, and other project variations.
• Oversee document and shop drawing control systems.
• Support engineering activities in project proposal preparation, including staffing estimates, scope reviews, and schedules.
• Direct preparation of construction drawings, schedules, and quantity listings for materials and equipment.
• Review project specifications, purchase orders, subcontracts, and inspection reports.
• Administer subcontracts and manage subcontract changes.
• Assist in interpreting design drawings, monitoring installations, and planning material deliveries.
• Support preparation of construction estimates,, budgets, and schedules.

Qualifications:

• Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience and training.
• Progressive experience in project coordination.
• Knowledge of construction practices, cost scheduling, contracts administration, and project documentation.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and meet critical deadlines.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, particularly in resolving field-related issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
