The Product Design team @D-EDGE is part of the Product & Tech team, made up of over 260 people based in Paris, Barcelona, Bordeaux, and Nantes. Our goal is to design and develop the best possible products for hoteliers and guests. We have created a culture in which agility and teamwork are at the service of innovation and excellence. Product Design is a strategic pillar to execute our company vision. The team advocates for the users’ voice and aims to put the user experience at the heart of everything we do.
Our mission: Ensure a valuable, differentiating, and high-quality end-user experience. At D-EDGE, our goal is to design and develop the best possible products for hoteliers and their guests. As a Product Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping these experiences by collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions.
Key Areas Of Focus
1/ User Research – Keeping user insights central to every decision.
2/ Full-stack Product Design – Handling everything from research to pixel-perfect delivery.
3/ Design System – Maintaining consistency and efficiency across all products, participates in building the core of our design system.
What we value: Agility and teamwork as drivers of innovation and excellence. A user-centered approach, putting the end-user experience at the core of our product design efforts.
Good to know: Our design team is still young, it was created less than 3 years ago. This offers us a nice playground to build on, not only shaping the team but also the process, practice, and culture of design @D-EDGE. Our daily environment is highly collaborative, joyful, and grounded into a test and learn approach. In short, if you’re into exploration and building stuff, you've come to the right place!
Main role: As a product designer, you’re responsible for the design for your dedicated projects and perimeter. You’re representing the user’s voice, overseeing the user experience from beginning to end. Your responsibility here is to own and drive the design for your projects, working with your teams (Product director, Product managers, Researchers, Engineers…).
Collaboration: You will act as a key point of contact to converge the product vision, technical challenges, and design requirements into a valuable solution. As designers within the company, we believe our transversal role is key to provide all the teams we collaborate with, the necessary tools and means to reach the companies goals.
Ensure visual and experience consistency: Hotelier experience is at the heart of our B2B platform, a SaaS-operated solution with a rich portfolio of 14 products, helping our 17,000 clients worldwide. To operate properly we rely on a homebuilt design system that allows us to maintain and extend the consistency of our experiences. This also means we collaborate closely with the DS gatekeepers and co-create the visual elements provided to technical teams and ensure its proper use.
Discovery: Exploratory workshops, data-oriented research, benchmarks, secondary user research (Collaboration with client-facing teams, data exploration, competitor analysis, existing documentation…), primary user research (Surveys, interviews, contextual inquiry, observations…)
Delivery: Design production (Information architecture, user flows, wireframes, mockups, prototypes…). For everything related to the user interface, you will be working with Overnight, our new Design system. Tech implementation follow-up, usability testing, design solution validation.
As a member of the Product design team, you’ll also be required to: Collaborate with your fellow designers to ensure a high standard of quality of your work, whether on discovery or delivery phases (Design critiques, Pair-design sessions, monthly reviews). Participate in the user research repository initiative to feed it with transversal topics. Work with the product design team to improve the user experience as a whole. Participate and improve our operational tools and rituals.
Minimum Requirements
3-5+ years of hands-on Product design, with a majority of Software/SaaS projects. You’re a T-shaped designer, with a broad range of skills and some specializations. A demonstrating portfolio is appreciated.
User-centric mindset: You have a strong appetite to understand user needs, supported by operational user research skills, and you're committed to crafting solutions that truly address user pain points.
Problem-solving ability: You excel at breaking down complex problems and finding innovative, user-driven solutions.
High level of craft: Your attention to detail and design quality is second to none, ensuring a polished and refined user experience.
Proficiency with design tools: You’re skilled with design software, especially Figma (with no surprise, we’re currently operating on Figma) and prioritize automation and standardization to enhance efficiency.
Strong collaboration: You thrive in cross-functional teams, communicating effectively to ensure alignment and user-centric outcomes.
Fluent in English: You’re comfortable working in an international context, collaborating in English on a day-to-day basis.
Design-engineering mindset: You bring a structured, organized, and logical approach to your work, ensuring solutions are both creative and technically sound.
