Senior Backend System Developer

Location: Stockholm, Sweden

Contract Duration: 12 months (01 Oct 2025 - 01 Oct 2026)

Position Summary:

We are seeking three Senior Backend System Developers to support the development of modern digital platforms and services. You will help build scalable APIs and backend solutions that improve customer experiences for millions of users.

Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain backend solutions using Java Spring Boot
• Develop robust REST APIs and reusable services
• Design and implement event-driven integrations using Kafka
• Ensure high quality through CI/CD pipelines and automated testing
• Deploy and scale solutions within containerised environments (e.g., OpenShift)
• Contribute to technical decisions that influence both architecture and end-user experience

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in backend systems development
• Strong skills in Java and Spring Boot
• Proven experience building REST APIs and working with event-driven architectures
• Familiarity with CI/CD and modern DevOps practices
• Experience deploying solutions on container platforms such as OpenShift or Kubernetes
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
• A collaborative mindset with curiosity for exploring new technologies and ways of working
