Position overview

We are looking for a strong mobile developer with experience in delivering iOS and Android mobile apps using React Native from conception all the way to release. Every engineer in our teams plays a key role, so you’ll need to be comfortable thinking on your feet, learning new technology, and pushing for impact. But you won’t be doing it alone: you’ll have the support of a cross-functional team around you, including backend engineers, designers, and product people.

Responsibilities

• Work in a small, cross-functional squad on feelgood money features
• Making our iOS and Android applications more robust and delightful
• Make sure we have all the infrastructure in place that we need to build fast and clean
• Learn new skills, whether it's about deploying mobile apps or the latest intricacies of TypeScript
• Collaborate with designers on ways to make client's app truly feelgood
• Deliver fast, semantically clean React Native code

Requirements

• Experience developing cross-platform mobile apps, including using native features
• Strong commercial experience working with React Native
• Solid understanding of version control tools (ideally Git)
• A passion for your craft and doing things “right” (semantics, validity, maintainability…)
• Previous work with backend APIs
• Have published apps in Google Play or Apple Store
• Working knowledge of TypeScript and Redux
• Understanding of native iOS using Swift or native Android using Kotlin
• Experience with React Query would be highly desirable
