Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Project and Program Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of large, complex programs composed of multiple related projects. This role is responsible for aligning projects with strategic business objectives, managing cross-functional teams, and ensuring successful program execution.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned project/program leader with a strong background in stakeholder management, cross-functional planning, and risk mitigation. The role also includes mentoring junior team members and fostering continuous improvement within the PMO function.
Key Responsibilities
Program & Project Delivery
- Lead and manage the delivery of multiple interrelated projects under a unified program strategy.
- Develop and manage detailed project/program plans, roadmaps, and schedules.
- Ensure alignment with business goals and functional strategies.
- Monitor execution against timelines, budget, scope, and quality standards.
- Identify and manage interdependencies and risks across projects.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior project and program managers.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including senior leadership and governance bodies.
- Understand stakeholder needs, anticipate challenges, and manage expectations.
- Facilitate collaboration across departments and functional areas.
- Proactively identify, assess, and manage risks and issues across the program lifecycle.
- Apply lateral thinking and problem-solving approaches to resolve complex issues independently.
- Escalate critical risks with mitigation plans when necessary.
Resource & Financial Management
- Manage internal resources and vendor relationships to ensure capacity and capability alignment.
- Monitor program budgets, resource allocation, and financial forecasts.
- Resolve resource or budgetary disputes with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
- 7+ years of experience in project/program management, preferably in technology, financial services, or regulated industries.
- Proven experience delivering complex, cross-functional programs with multiple workstreams.
- Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Strong knowledge of project/program management methodologies (e.g., PMI, Agile, Hybrid).
- Proficiency in tools like MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, or equivalent.
- PMP, PgMP, or other relevant certifications are considered strong assets.
