Senior Android Developer

We are currently seeking competent individuals to fulfill the role of Senior Android Developer to join our dynamic team for our client, one of the major banks.

Contract duration: 6 months with potential extension

Hybrid: 2 days a week in office located in down town Toronto

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze the current APK to identify unused or redundant libraries, images, and assets.
• Remove unnecessary dependencies and optimize resource usage.
• Improve build performance and reduce final APK size without impacting functionality.
• Collaborate with the development team to ensure best practices in app optimization.

Must have skills:

• 7+ years of experience in Android development at the enterprise level
• 2+ years of experience converting APK packages into Android App Bundles (AAB)
• 1 year of experience optimizing Android applications
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong sense of ownership
• Exceptional attention to detail with a performance-focused mindset

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field preferred
