AI Data Scientist

Position: AI Data Scientist

📍 Location: Brussels, Belgium

🏢 Full time; Hybrid (2-3 days/week at client office)

📜 Type of Contract: Freelance or Permanent Contract preferably

🌍 Mandatory Languages: English + French or Dutch

📌 Eligibility: Candidates must possess European nationality or a valid work permit for Belgium.

Requirements

• 5–8 years of professional experience as a Data Scientist, preferably in a business environment.
• Strong business acumen with proven ability to translate business needs into data-driven solutions.
• Hands-on expertise in data wrangling, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning.
• Advanced proficiency in Python and libraries such as Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn.
• Solid experience with SQL, Databricks, and Power BI.
• Proven track record in AI/GenAI delivery across POCs, pilots, and industrial processes.
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms, ideally Microsoft Azure (Azure AI Services, Azure ML, Azure OpenAI, Vertex AI).
• Strong expertise in LLM libraries: LangChain, LangGraph, Promptflow, Semantic Kernel, Autogen.
• In-depth understanding of LLMOps lifecycle including fine-tuning, training, deployment, and monitoring.
• Experience in GenAI deployment using CI/CD pipelines, GitHub workflows, and tools like Weights & Biases.
• Excellent collaboration, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to keep a helicopter view on projects.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy advanced AI and GenAI models aligned with business objectives.
• Lead AI/GenAI delivery processes from proof of concept to industrialization.
• Act as a super user within IT AI environments, providing guidance and expertise.
• Work closely with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into actionable data science initiatives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate AI models into business processes.
• Monitor, evaluate, and optimize deployed models to ensure accuracy, performance, and reliability.
• Stay updated with the latest trends in AI, LLMOps, and cloud technologies to continuously enhance solutions.
