Remote: DevOps Engineer

IntePros is seeking a Mid-Level DevOps Engineer to join our professional services client. This person will team play a key role in supporting their technology-enabled business strategy. The DevOps Engineer will provide infrastructure and operational support, ensuring stable system deployments, seamless integration, and reliable delivery of cloud-based applications.

The Ideal Candidate Must Have Experience With

  • Administration of application environments on cloud platforms (AWS preferred)
  • Deploying and maintaining container-based systems (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS)
  • Automation development and deployment using Terraform

Responsibilities

  • Develop Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform and CloudFormation
  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multiple projects
  • Automate deployment processes for efficiency, reliability, and repeatability
  • Manage application releases across test, staging, and production environments
  • Administer deployed application services, databases, and system backups/recoveries
  • Integrate observability monitoring and centralized logging solutions
  • Apply version control best practices (branching, merging, etc.)
  • Document technical implementations and operational processes
  • Perform system updates, monitoring, and troubleshooting for cloud-based applications
  • Contribute to Scrum/Kanban ceremonies as an active team member

Qualifications

  • 3+ years in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering
  • 5+ years in IT operations, system integration, or cloud deployments
  • Strong background in AWS (S3, CloudFront, ECS/EKS, EC2, RDS, API Gateway, CloudFormation)
  • Hands-on experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, EKS, ECS, Fargate)
  • Expertise in IaC and automation tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
  • Proficiency in scripting (Python, Bash) and working with YAML/JSON/REST
  • Familiarity with microservices architecture and database technologies (SQL & NoSQL)
  • Experience integrating with monitoring/logging tools (CloudWatch, Grafana, DataDog, Splunk, etc.)
  • Knowledge of networking, system security, and identity integrations (SAML, Okta)
  • Strong communication skills and comfort working with technical/non-technical stakeholders
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • Relevant certifications (AWS, Kubernetes, Docker, HashiCorp) are a plus
