Job Opportunity: Frontend Developer

Stelfox is collaborating with a client who work on a data -driven analytics platform for the finance industry and they are looking for a Software Engineer to join their team.

The role will involve Implementing user-interface in TypeScript and React for the finance analysis platform.

Responsibilities of the Role:

• Collaborating with product designers and domain experts to understand the needs of the team and clients.
• Developing user interfaces in TypeScript and React for a finance analysis platform.
• Building and integrating interactive data visualizations.
• Following best practices in software development, including high coding standards, automated testing, documentation, and peer code reviews.
• Working primarily on the front end, with opportunities to contribute to full-stack development.
• Engaging closely with an experienced team and expanding knowledge of modern development technologies, including TypeScript, React, Webpack, SCSS, D3, Node.js, AWS, Terraform, and Docker.

The successful candidate will have:

• Strong expertise in building modern web application front ends using React.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and JavaScript, including ES6+.
• Solid experience with React development.
• Background working with strongly typed programming languages.
• Experience working in Linux/Unix/OS X environments.
• Familiarity with RESTful API design and implementation.
• At least three years of professional programming experience.
• Strong academic foundation in computer science, with a Bachelor’s degree required (Computer Science or Engineering preferred).

Beneficial experience includes:

• Hands-on experience with TypeScript and/or Flow.
• Exposure to AWS services.
