Senior Java Backend Engineer – Dublin (Hybrid, Permanent)

Salary: Up to €85,000 per annum

Location: Dublin (Hybrid – 3 days onsite)

We are seeking an experienced Senior Java Backend Engineer to join our growing team and play a key role in building scalable, high-performance microservices that power mission-critical systems. What You’ll Do

• Design and develop high-quality, reusable, and scalable microservices using Java 17+ and Spring Boot.
• Apply SOLID principles, OOP best practices, and modern design patterns.
• Build event-driven systems and work with persistence layers (RDBMS, NoSQL).
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and cloud-based deployments.
• Drive proofs-of-concept to support new initiatives and innovation.
• Mentor junior developers and contribute to team growth.

What We’re Looking For

• 5+ years’ experience in backend development with Java & Spring Boot.
• Strong background in online/real-time systems and event-driven architectures.
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD and cloud-based environments.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• A passion for innovation, learning, and mentoring.
