Android Developer

Our client is a product-driven tech company building high-quality Android apps used at scale. With a focus on clean architecture, performance, and user experience, they’re looking for an Android Developer to help take their mobile offering to the next level.

Your Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and maintain Android applications using Kotlin, with some legacy support in Java.
• Collaborate with product, design, and backend teams to plan, build, and ship new features.
• Build responsive UIs following Material Design principles, ensuring a smooth and intuitive user experience.
• Work with Android Jetpack libraries like LiveData, ViewModel, Room, Navigation, and WorkManager to build scalable, maintainable apps.
• Integrate APIs using Retrofit or OkHttp, and work with both REST and GraphQL data sources.
• Write clean, modular code with a focus on performance, maintainability, and testability.
• Contribute to unit testing and CI/CD processes to ensure a smooth and reliable release pipeline.
• Use Git and version control best practices as part of an efficient, collaborative team workflow

What's needed from you:

• 3+ years of professional Android development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Kotlin and solid working knowledge of Java.
• Hands-on experience with Android Jetpack components and modern app architecture (MVVM, Clean Architecture, etc.).
• Familiarity with RESTful APIs and GraphQL, including tools like Retrofit and OkHttp.
• A good eye for detail when it comes to UI/UX, with a strong understanding of Material Design guidelines.
• Confident in Git workflows and collaborative tools like GitHub or Bitbucket.
• Comfortable writing unit tests and integrating with CI/CD tools like GitHub Actions, Bitrise, Jenkins, or CircleCI.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to translate requirements into practical development tasks.
