A multi-international consultancy company are seeking a highly Project Manager for its port project in Luanda - Angola.
Scope of Work, Topside Works:
Design Rehabilitation and Construction of Unicargas Terminal comprising the following:
Buildings - Roads - Service Facilities - Gates and Fences - Apron Areas - Paving Areas - All planned utilities/infrastructure - Any needed rehabilitation, re-routing, relocation, demolishing and disposal works (existing structures, pavement, utilities, etc.)
Design Rehabilitation and Construction of Temporary Yard, comprising the following:
rectification of the existing facilities including but not limited to (office buildings, sheds, and guard rooms) in addition to the associated site works on new elements (infrastructure, pavement, lighting, fences and gates, etc.)
Scope of Work, Marine Works:
Rehabilitation and repair of the existing quay wall along the Container Berth to achieve a depth of -16m LAT, enabling the berthing of design vessels, which necessitates deepening the berth and designing a new quay wall structure along with all required port operation elements, including crane infrastructure, including the rehabilitation and repair of the existing quay wall along the General Cargo/Ro-Ro Berth while maintaining the existing depth.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (Master’s degree is a plus).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in large-scale infrastructure or port projects, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record in managing upgrade/rehabilitation works in operational port environments.
- Strong knowledge of FIDIC contracts and international construction practices.
- Fluency in English; Portuguese is an advantage.
- Willingness to be based full-time in Luanda, Angola.
