Job Title: Senior Java Software Engineer & QA Engineer

Job Mission

As a Senior Java Software Engineer, you will be part of an agile scrum team responsible for creating and maturing Java-based test tooling that enables test automation across complex engineering systems. You will address multiple testing dimensions, including performance, stress , and functional testing.

You are expected to mentor junior developers, bring in-depth knowledge of modern testing approaches, and collaborate closely with test architects and product owners to influence technical decisions.

You will play a key role in building a big data analytics platform tailored for advanced manufacturing applications, working in a fast-paced agile environment that leverages cutting-edge software technologies and infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and develop test automation tools to help system test teams achieve high efficiency and coverage.
• Translate test requirements into scalable and maintainable code.
• Evaluate and integrate off-the-shelf testing tools where applicable to extend test coverage.
• Define detailed technical designs aligned with test architecture requirements.
• Develop back-end testing tools for performance, stress, and functional testing (primarily using Java).
• Provide technical guidance and coaching to junior Java developers and test engineers.
• Collaborate with software and test architects to ensure consistency and quality of test tooling.
• Participate in test strategy development and proof-of-concepts for emerging technologies.
• Ensure developed tools are robust, CI/CD-ready, compliant with license obligations, and maintain minimal technical debt.

Required Experience & Skills

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Java Developer.
• Strong knowledge of Spring Boot / Java Enterprise frameworks.
• Proficiency in SQL and relational database design.
• Experience with testing frameworks and tools such as JUnit, JMeter.
• Hands-on experience with test reporting solutions.
• Solid understanding of web technologies: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript, REST/JSON APIs.
• Familiarity with Git and Git workflows.
• Proficiency in build and automation tools: Maven, Gradle, npm, Webpack.
• Experience in automated testing frameworks: Jest, Cypress, Cucumber.
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodologies.
• Strong communication skills in English.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Splunk (monitoring/logging).
• Familiarity with Polarion or other ALM/test management tools.
• Experience with Web Components.
• Knowledge of Node.js.
• Experience with MongoDB.
