Full Stack Engineer

We are looking for a skilled Full-Stack Developer with a strong focus on front-end development and expertise in server-side technologies. This is a crucial role within our technical team, where you will have a high degree of ownership and be instrumental in building and optimising scalable, high-performance applications for the DeFi ecosystem. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with EVM-based chains and is well-versed in developing solutions for L2 networks, including OP and ZK Rollups.

• Technical Leadership: Architect and drive the development of our web applications, with a focus on high-quality design, clean code, and maintainable solutions.
• Collaborative Development: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and other engineers, to create seamless user experiences.
• Innovation & Learning: Stay current with the latest blockchain and DeFi advancements to help shape product development.
• Security & Optimisation: Contribute to the development of secure and efficient smart contracts, with a focus on Solidity gas optimisation and integration of third-party security libraries (e.g., OpenZeppelin).
• Infrastructure Optimisation: Optimise our infrastructure to ensure scalability, security, and performance in a decentralised environment.
  

Experience:

• 3-5 years of relevant development experience with a strong emphasis on web development and back-end integration.

Core Skills

• Proficiency with JavaScript and TypeScript for building interactive user interfaces and handling complex application states.
• Extensive experience in React, Redux, SCSS, and React Query for building responsive, high-performance applications.
• Solid expertise in Node.js, PostgreSQL, SQL, Docker, and REST APIs for back-end systems and database management.
• Blockchain: Familiarity with EVM-based chains (e.g., Ethereum) and L2 solutions, including Optimism (OP) and ZK Rollups, is essential.

Blockchain & Smart Contract Development (Preferred):

• Skills in Solidity for smart contract development and optimisation, with familiarity with tools like Truffle and Hardhat.
• Knowledge of third-party security libraries, such as OpenZeppelin, and experience with gas optimisation techniques.
• Prior experience in Web3 development, especially on Ethereum or other major platforms, is highly valued.
• CI/CD & Infrastructure (Preferred):
• Understanding of CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, and AWS services.
• Familiarity with container orchestration services like ECS or Kubernetes.
• Open Source Contributions: Demonstrated experience with open-source projects on major blockchain platforms, such as Ethereum, Cosmos, or Layer 2 rollups, is a significant plus.
• Education: A degree in Computing, Mathematics, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
• Timezone: European timezone preferred
