Talent-Relay has partnered with Global Earth Observation client to onboard several Machine Learning Engineers into their expanding science and research team, in Luxembourg.
Our partner leverages satellite imagery, thermal infrared and multi-spectral data, to deliver valuable insights into agriculture, climate, and commercial clients.
The team is responsible for developing advanced algorithms to transform satellite data into actionable information.
We require a Machine Learning Engineer to create cutting-edge models to supporting product. If you’re passionate about applying machine learning to real-world challenges in agriculture, climate, and safety, this role is for you.
Skills & Requirements:
- Demonstrable experienced in Machine Learning & Data Science,
- Advanced degree (Master’s/Ph.D.) in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or related fields.
- 3+ years of machine learning experience with various tools and frameworks.
- Strong skills in Python, statistics, and problem-solving.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and containerization.
- Experience deploying models in production and using HPC platforms.
- Experience processing satellite imagery (e.g., Sentinel, Landsat) using tools like GDAL, Geopandas and Rasterio.
- Ideally have a good understanding of land-cover classification or time-series forecasting.
- Familiarity with software development practices (e.g., version control, CI/CD).

Responsibilities:
- Research and develop advanced machine learning and AI solutions.
- Build and optimize machine learning models and algorithms.
- Analyse satellite imagery to provide insights for agriculture and climate applications.
- Use Python and high-performance computing tools.
- Work with software teams to deliver solutions to customers.
- Manage technical challenges and risks during development.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience implementing land-cover classification or time-series forecasting models.
- Experience deploying machine learning models in a production environment.
- Working knowledge with AWS or other cloud provider (GCP, Azure).
- Experience with containerization.
- Experience with high performance computing platforms (HPC).
