Introduction:

A fast-growing technology company is seeking a Platform Engineer to join its data infrastructure team. The organization is focused on delivering high-impact analytics through advanced Earth Observation and thermal imagery solutions. The Luxembourg-based team specializes in remote sensing, machine learning, and scalable data fusion techniques to support environmental and agri-food applications.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Platform Engineer, you’ll be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining cloud infrastructure that supports large-scale data pipelines. You’ll lead efforts in CI/CD automation, observability, and infrastructure reliability, while collaborating across engineering, product, and data science teams.

• Deploy and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS) using Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) tools
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for multi-environment deployments
• Optimize Kubernetes clusters for scalability and cost efficiency
• Enhance system reliability, security, and performance monitoring
• Implement centralized logging, monitoring, and alerting frameworks
• Lead secure networking across environments (ingress/egress, connectivity)
• Own infrastructure components from design to production
• Establish DevSecOps practices across teams
• Mentor peers and collaborate with internal stakeholder

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or related roles
• Deep experience with AWS and cloud-native architectures
• Strong proficiency in Kubernetes and container orchestration
• Hands-on with IaC tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Proven CI/CD pipeline experience (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins)
• Familiarity with observability tools (Grafana, DataDog, CloudWatch, Prometheus)
• Understanding of DevSecOps principles and best practices
• Self-motivated problem solver with a collaborative mindset

• Experience in Earth Observation or geospatial analytics
• Familiarity with MLOps workflows for model monitoring and lifecycle management
