We’re seeking an experienced UX Designer to join a top-tier design system and brand experience team for a leading Canadian bank. In this hybrid role, you will help define and execute digital brand experiences by applying a multi-disciplinary skill set, including UI/UX, visual, motion, and illustration design. The ideal candidate is both conceptually creative and technically proficient, comfortable working from ideation to final delivery, while ensuring accessibility, usability, and brand alignment across all digital touchpoints.Key Responsibilities:
- Translate customer needs and business goals into intuitive digital product experiences
- Create compelling, user-centered digital interfaces aligned with brand and accessibility standards
- Participate in or conduct user research, including usability testing and observational studies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design end-to-end product experiences
- Design reusable components in Figma and contribute to the design system
- Deliver high-fidelity visual assets, motion design, and custom 2D/3D illustrations
- Develop editorial design (e.g., annual reports) and visual storytelling assets
- Collaborate with developers to ensure implementation aligns with design specs
- Advocate for accessibility in every stage of design
- Create and manage animations (After Effects, Lottie workflows) and interactive prototypes
- Support multiple projects simultaneously and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain documentation, contribute to team ideation, and participate in agile ceremonies
- 5+ years of UX or interactive design experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Design, HCI, or equivalent experience
- Portfolio demonstrating user-centered design and multi-platform product work
- Financial industry background
- Agile team experience
- HTML/CSS familiarity and ability to generate web-ready assets
- Expertise in Figma and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects)
- Strong understanding of UI/UX design, interaction design, and visual design principles
- Proven ability to create accessible and responsive web/mobile designs
- Proficient in developing design systems and reusable components
- Effective communicator with strong collaboration and feedback integration skills
- Custom illustration and 2D/3D animation skills
- Editorial design and layout expertise
- Experience with motion design constraints and best practices
- Ability to balance speed, quality, and multiple project deadlines
- Curiosity and comfort working across evolving platforms and tools
- Strategic thinking combined with meticulous design execution
