Maintain and Optimize Computer Networks for a Fast-Growing VAR
Join our dynamic team at a rapidly growing Value-Added Reseller (VAR) specializing in network infrastructure, data center solutions, cybersecurity, and cloud services. As a Network Engineer, you will play a critical role in maintaining and optimizing the computer networks of our clients, ensuring the highest levels of system security and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and troubleshoot computer networks, including mainframes, VPNs, routers, switches, and firewalls
- Install and configure network equipment to meet business requirements
- Create and maintain firewalls, update virus protection software, and manage data security systems to safeguard sensitive information and communications
- Monitor network performance and proactively optimize systems to ensure high availability and reliability
- Implement disaster recovery procedures to protect against data loss and ensure business continuity
- Collaborate with other IT professionals and escalate complex issues when necessary
- Stay updated on the latest security and networking best practices, offering the best solutions to enhance company and customer systems
- Strong knowledge of network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP
- Hands-on experience with network equipment such as routers, switches, and firewalls
- Familiarity with virus protection software and data security systems
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to escalate and communicate issues clearly to management
- In-depth understanding of security principles and best practices for network systems
- Customer-focused with excellent attention to detail and the ability to provide tailored solutions
- Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), CompTIA Network+, or equivalent
- Experience with cloud solutions and virtualization technologies
- Prior experience in a value-added reseller (VAR) environment is a plus
