RONAL GROUP is seeking a Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen our global IT team. This role is ideal for a motivated professional who thrives on designing, operating, and securing enterprise-class infrastructure. You will serve as the go-to expert for our global network, ensuring stability, scalability, and innovation across RONAL's worldwide operations.
Senior Network & Infrastructure Engineer
100% (m/f/d)
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
- Act as the primary expert for all network-related topics, defining the roadmap and strategy for RONAL’s global network infrastructure
- Manage and operate enterprise-level hardware and software infrastructure (servers, storage, virtualization, data centers) to ensure high availability and reliability
- Operate and further develop next-generation firewalls, with a focus on Palo Alto (Panorama management)
- Manage enterprise switching and routing on HPE-based infrastructure, including Aruba wireless solutions and ClearPass
- Oversee hardware management, preferably HP servers and hosts, ensuring reliability and scalability
- Design, operate, and optimize VMware-based virtualization environments to support business-critical applications
- Implement robust security measures and ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards
- Monitor and analyze performance across networks and infrastructure to maximize uptime and efficiency
- Translate business and technical requirements into scalable, secure, and high-performing solutions for RONAL projects
- Mentor peers on emerging technologies, tools, and industry best practices
- Present solutions and technical options to leadership and project teams
- Degree in Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent education
- At least 12 years of hands-on experience in IT network engineering
- Technical expertise in:
- Managing Palo Alto firewalls (including Panorama)
- Enterprise network management: switching, routing, and wireless (HPE/Aruba, ClearPass)
- Hardware management (HP servers and hosts)
- Virtualization environments (VMware)
- Strong background in network security, performance optimization, and infrastructure operations
- Good command of written and spoken English (German is an advantage)
- High level of self-motivation and accountability, with the ability to perform effectively in a global, virtual team
