The Product & Solutions (P&S) Team within IMDA's SMEs Go Digital division plays a crucial role in empowering Singaporean SMEs through the identification, evaluation, and onboarding of market-ready digital solutions, including those leveraging AI and Generative AI (GenAI). As a Digital Solutions Strategist, you will be instrumental in engaging sector lead agencies, SMEs, and solution providers to assess and curate high-impact digital solutions across diverse industries. You will also provide technical advisory to SMEs, guiding their decision-making process, while continuously refining the solution curation framework.
What You Will Be Working On
- Solution Identification & Curation:
- Identify and evaluate a broad range of digital and AI/GenAI solutions aligned with SME digital transformation needs across multiple sectors.
- Proactively identify and uncover new, high-impact solution categories – both broad-based and industry-specific – that drive SME productivity.
- Source and evaluate market-ready solutions with strong potential to accelerate SME digital adoption.
- Collaborate with solution providers to thoroughly assess solution capabilities and ensure alignment with industry requirements.
- Develop compelling business cases for onboarding selected solutions onto the Pre-Approval Programme, demonstrating alignment with key industry needs and tangible SME benefits.
- Engage with sector lead agencies to collaboratively define sector-specific objectives and desired digital outcomes for SMEs.
- Develop clear, structured checklists enabling solution providers to self-assess their solutions for market readiness, covering functional, performance, and compliance criteria.
- Maintain a dynamic pipeline of digital solutions, proactively identifying gaps and recommending new solution categories aligned with Industry Digital Plans (IDPs).
- Performance Monitoring & Improvement:
- Track and analyze key adoption metrics, including solution take-up rates, usage trends, and demonstrated productivity impact on SMEs.
- Conduct regular reviews and refinements of the solution curation process, incorporating industry feedback, performance data, and evolving market trends.
- Recommend enhancements to solution curation frameworks to optimize alignment with SME needs, market trends, and available funding schemes.
- Collaborate with sector lead agencies and SMEs to continuously evaluate solution effectiveness and develop data-driven recommendations for improvement.
- Technical Advisory (Optional):
- Serve as a trusted advisor to SMEs, assisting them in understanding how digital solutions can effectively address their unique business challenges.
- Educate SMEs on emerging digital trends, best practices, and key considerations when adopting AI/GenAI and other advanced digital technologies.
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business IT, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business-IT functions related to digital solutions, such as business consulting, digital solution implementation, or pre-sales support.
- Strong understanding of AI/GenAI, cloud technology, cybersecurity, IoT, RPA, blockchain, data analytics, and other digital transformation technologies.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts clearly and concisely to diverse audiences, including SMEs, solution providers, and sector lead agencies.
- Proven analytical skills and the ability to analyze data and performance metrics to measure solution adoption and impact.
- Familiarity with government funding schemes (e.g., Productivity Solutions Grant) is a plus.
- Knowledge of one or more key industries (e.g., manufacturing, construction, logistics, healthcare, retail, environmental services, financial services) is preferred.
Position will commensurate with experience.
