Sr. Backend Engineer (Java/Go | Fintech Payments)

Monthly salary: $3,000 - $4,000 USD

Along with our partner, we are seeking a Senior Backend Engineer to join a global fintech company transforming cross-border payments. You will play a key role in building and scaling payment solutions for Latin America and global markets, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, and external partners.

What You Will Do:

• Design and develop scalable backend services to power secure, high-volume payment transactions.
• Integrate with external partners and internal platforms, ensuring smooth, reliable connections.
• Lead technical discussions and ensure best practices in coding, testing, and system design.
• Deliver high-quality solutions using modern distributed systems, cloud environments, and event-driven architectures.

What We’re Looking For:

• 3+ years of professional backend development experience.
• Strong proficiency in Java and/or Go (Golang).
• Proven experience with payment systems, fintech, or banking (must-have).
• Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) and CI/CD pipelines.
• Solid understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP, and databases (SQL/NoSQL).
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Ability to adjust schedule for occasional early/late meetings across time zones.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice to Have:

• Familiarity with Spring Boot, TypeScript, or DevOps practices.
