Role- Network Security Engineer

Location- Belgium

Job Type- Hybrid (3 days a week)

Full time Employment - Permanent


JOB DESCRIPTION:


• Serve as the technical resource for Network Security/Fortinet solutions, providing expert advice and guidance site teams and customers.

• Risk-assess industrial infrastructures and understanding potential security breaches to be mitigated with the project tasks.

• Design and architect solutions based on customer needs, ensuring they align with industry best practices and security standards.

• Plan and execute successful configuration, pre-testing and deployment of Fortinet firewalls, switches and integration into Fortinet management systems.

• Provide technical support and troubleshooting expertise for solutions on-site.

• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation, including solution architectures, configuration guides, and troubleshooting procedures.

• Participate in the development and execution of proof-of-concept demonstrations and presentations to showcase Fortinet's capabilities to site teams.


Qualifications:


• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. Relevant certifications (Fortinet, Cisco, etc.) will be a strong plus.

• Extensive experience working with Fortinet's cybersecurity solutions, including FortiGate firewalls, Forti Analyzer, Forti Manager.

• Proven track record in designing, implementing, and supporting complex network security solutions using Fortinet technologies.

• Strong knowledge of network protocols, firewall technologies, VPNs, intrusion prevention systems (IPS), and other security technologies.

• Familiarity with industry best practices and security frameworks, such as NIST, NIS2, IEC62443.

• Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to analyze and resolve complex technical issues.

• Strong communication (English) and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.

• Willingness for 70% travelling within the EU
