We are looking for an experienced System Engineer to join our service delivery team. The role involves implementing, upgrading, securing, supporting Windows Server, VMware virtualization and enterprise hardware solutions for our customers. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, hands-on project experience, and the ability to work in customer environments to ensure successful project execution from design through deployment.


Responsibilities


  • Support the installation, optimization, integration, troubleshooting and upgrade of all IT systems or components.

Design and deploy Active Directory, Group Policies, DNS/DHCP, and domain services for customer infrastructures.

Implement and configure Windows Failover Clustering (SQL, File Servers, RDS, etc.).

Deploy and configure Windows roles (IIS, Certificate Services/PKI, RDS, File Services).

Implement and configure VMware vSphere clusters, HA/DRS, vMotion, and Site Recovery Manager (SRM).

Configure VMware networking (vDS, VLAN tagging, NIC teaming).

Deploy and manage VMware vSAN for hyperconverged infrastructure.

Perform migration projects (Windows Server upgrades, VMware upgrades, AD consolidation, etc.).

Deploy and configure enterprise hardware servers (HPE, Dell, Lenovo, xFusion), including firmware/BIOS updates and remote management tools.

Apply security baselines and hardening standards (CIS, Microsoft, VMware best practices).

Implement OS and hypervisor-level patching, vulnerability remediation, and compliance checks.

Work closely with Project Managers to ensure successful delivery.

Provide technical input during pre-sales or solution discussions when required.

Rotation 24x7 duties and support to internal and external customers.

Good knowledge of Windows OS, VMWare, RHEL, SUSE, OEL and Solaris.

Automate routine tasks using scripting and configuration management tools.


Requirements

Minimum bachelor’s degree in IT related field or equivalent experience.

Strong hands-on experience with Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) installation, upgrade, patching, and configuration.

Proficiency in Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, Group Policies, and domain controller management.

Experience with Windows Failover Clustering, IIS, RDS, File Services, and Certificate Services (PKI).

Experience with Microsoft 365 migration and administration (Exchange Online, Teams, Intune, SharePoint Online).

Familiarity with Azure Active Directory and hybrid AD setups.

Exposure to backup and DR tools (Veeam, Commvault, or equivalent).

Knowledge of storage technologies (SAN/NAS, iSCSI, Fibre Channel).

Understanding of basic networking concepts (TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, firewalls).

PowerShell scripting for automation of deployment tasks.

Experience with rack/stack, cabling, and data centre deployment work.

Possess strong communication, organizational and multi-tasking skills.

Possess strong teamwork ethics and able to work well with team members.

Demonstrate good understanding of ITIL framework.

Knowledge of IaaS and Cloud Knowledge is an advantage (AWS, Azure).

Experience with scripting languages such as Bash, Python, or Perl.

Familiarity with configuration management tools like Ansible or Puppet.

Certifications (e.g., Windows, VMWare, RHCSA, RHCE) are a plus.
