Infrastructure Delivery Engineer
Status: Full-time
Location: Office-based in Greenford, London, with occasional travel to EMEA customer sites
Travel: ~40% of time will require travel outside the office base
Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Infrastructure Delivery Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate has strong expertise in network architecture, configuration, and troubleshooting, combined with excellent communication and project management skills. This is a customer delivery-focused role and will be predominantly billable. Candidates must hold a minimum of CCNP certification (Route/Switch or equivalent).
Role Description
The Infrastructure Delivery Engineer is responsible for planning, designing, and implementing solutions that meet customer business and technical requirements. The role includes engagement with customer stakeholders, leading design workshops, and overseeing solution delivery. Engineers will also be supported to develop Arista Networks expertise, with a focus on delivering solutions across industries, particularly financial services.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver end-to-end project activities for customer solutions, including:
- Leading customer design workshops to evaluate and finalize solution designs
- Producing requirements capture documents, high-level designs, and low-level designs
- Developing implementation, migration, testing, and transition plans
- Staging, configuring, implementing, and commissioning network solutions
- Conducting system testing, commissioning, and service handovers
- Training customer technical and operational teams as needed
- Collaborate with Project Managers to ensure successful delivery, tracking deviations in scope
- Support ongoing upskilling in emerging technologies, particularly Arista Networks
Required Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar technical/project delivery role
- Expertise in networking protocols, routing, and switching
- Strong knowledge of networking hardware/software from major vendors (Cisco, Juniper, etc.)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and team collaboration
- Certifications: CCNP (minimum), with CCIE, CCDP, or JNCIE highly desirable
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with a VAR, systems integrator, or MSP
- Familiarity with automation and scripting (Python, Ansible, etc.)
- Exposure to multi-vendor technologies; Arista experience is a strong plus
