For our European Location in Offenbach am Main (Frankfurt am Main) we are looking for a:
Cloud Network Engineer (f/m/d)
Join our Cloud Section as a Cloud Network Engineer and help build, maintain, and optimize Public and Private Cloud Network systems that drive our company’s growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, design, and implement network infrastructure for private cloud, AWS environments, vehicle-dedicated lines, and internet services.
- Maintain and administer Cisco/Arista core switches, routers, and load balancers.
- Monitor, analyze, and audit network performance and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex hardware/software issues.
- Validate cloud network configurations through log flows, event thresholds, and alarms.
- Optimize OpenStack networking (SDN, VXLAN, EVPN), implementing HA and disaster recovery strategies.
- Apply patches, updates, and firmware upgrades with minimal disruption.
- Create and maintain detailed network documentation and diagrams.
- Monitor system performance and recommend scaling or optimization.
- Support customer requests within agreed timelines and quality standards.
- Liaise with vendors for issue resolution, warranties, and product updates.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.).
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 5+ years’ experience in enterprise data center/cloud network environments.
- Strong expertise in large-scale network implementation and operation.
- Deep knowledge of TCP/IP, switching/routing, and cloud networks (Public/Private/K8s).
- Proficiency in creating accurate network diagrams and documentation.
- Hands-on experience with Cisco/Arista routers/switches, Palo Alto firewalls, and F5/A10/Citrix load balancers.
- In-depth AWS network design/operations (VPC peering, T-GW, Direct Connect, Load Balancers, etc.).
- Solid understanding of BGP, OSPF, STP, HA, QoS, and related configurations.
- Experience with network monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix) and diagnostics.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Nice to Have
- Experience with OpenStack (private open-source cloud platform).
- Experience with virtual networks (LinuxBridge, Open vSwitch).
- AWS multi-region network design.
- Network automation (Python, Ansible).
- Relevant ICT or network certifications.
