iOS Application Mobile Developer

Are you passionate about building mobile applications that make a real impact on millions of people’s lives? We’re looking for an experienced iOS Developer to join a high-profile programme shaping the future of digital healthcare.


This is a unique opportunity to work on one of the most widely used mobile apps in the UK, at the heart of digital healthcare transformation. The app empowers users to manage their healthcare digitally, from booking appointments and ordering repeat prescriptions to securely accessing their medical records, with a roadmap of exciting new features and services still to come.


BPSS clearance will be required to pass for this project.


The Role

As an iOS Application Developer, you will:

  • Work as part of a collaborative, multi-disciplinary team of engineers, designers, product managers, and testers.
  • Design, develop, and maintain high-quality features for the iOS app using Swift, SwiftUI, and Xcode.
  • Take responsibility throughout the product lifecycle, delivering well-tested, performant, and maintainable solutions.
  • Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure a consistent and intuitive user experience.
  • Support production systems and continuously improve performance, scalability, and reliability.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop scalable iOS solutions using Swift and SwiftUI.
  • Write clean, efficient, and testable code following best practices and coding standards.
  • Create and maintain unit and integration tests.
  • Optimise application performance for speed and responsiveness.
  • Ensure compliance with Apple App Store requirements.
  • Troubleshoot, debug, and improve existing features.
  • Contribute to continuous integration and delivery pipelines.


About You

The ideal candidate will bring:

  • 5+ years of iOS development experience with Swift, SwiftUI, and Xcode.
  • Strong knowledge of iOS design principles, MVVM architecture, and SOLID principles.
  • A collaborative approach and ability to work in cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and application monitoring.
  • Proficiency in integrating RESTful APIs and handling concurrency in iOS.
  • Experience with native OS features such as push notifications, HealthKit, and App Intents.
  • Familiarity with Swift Package Manager and mobile app analytics.


Nice to Have

  • Understanding of compilation processes and memory management.
  • Knowledge of FHIR standards.
