We’re looking for an experienced Senior .NET Developer (freelance) to join a high-impact project in the Belgian energy sector.

You’ll help design, build, and maintain critical applications that support the country’s electricity infrastructure, contributing to Europe’s green energy transition.

This is a long-term freelance opportunity in a collaborative, international environment.

Logistics

• Position: Freelance Senior .NET Developer
• Duration: 12-month contract (with likelihood of extension)
• Day Rate: €(Negotiable and Competitive)
• Location: Brussels, Belgium (Hybrid - 2x days a week on-site)
• Start Date: Mid-October

Core Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain high-quality .NET applications supporting nomination projects.
• Ensure code follows established standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to deliver robust, scalable solutions.
• Contribute to innovation within the energy sector, helping accelerate the transition to sustainable energy.

Essential Skills

• Strong expertise in .NET Framework (4.x), .NET 8, Entity Framework Core, WPF, SQL Server, MongoDB, RabbitMQ.
• Familiarity with microservices architecture is a plus.
• Excellent communication skills and accountability in project delivery.

Language Requirements

• French with passive understanding of Flemish OR Flemish with passive understanding of French.
• English proficiency.
