Release Train Engineer / Expert Scrum Master

We are seeking an experienced Release Train Engineer (RTE) to lead a significant release train within the Banking Industry. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in managing large teams and driving effective Agile practices. Required skills include SAFe Release Train Engineering, strong Scrum experience, and a solid background in software engineering.

This assignment is located in Helsinki, Finland, and is scheduled to start on October 6, 2025, with a potential end date of February 27, 2026. Extensions are possible based on project needs.

Main Responsibilities:

The RTE will oversee the entire release train, ensuring smooth coordination across multiple Scrum teams dedicated to Transaction Banking and Payment data.

• Lead and facilitate release train ceremonies.
• Manage dependencies and remove impediments.
• Coordination with Product Owners and stakeholders.
• Ensure alignment with business objectives and delivery timelines.
• Foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Support and mentor Scrum Masters and team members.
• Implement scaling methods and best practices.
• Manage the delivery of high-quality software increments.
• Promote transparency and communication across teams.
• Oversee the execution of Agile methodologies.
  
  

Key Requirements:

• SAFe Release Train Engineer experience of 6+ years.
• Scrum Master experience of 6+ years.
• Background in Data Warehouse and Data Engineering.
• Solution architecture experience focused on Data platforms.
• Strong background in software engineering (Java/Python).
  
  

Nice to Have:

• Knowledge of Payments and Transaction Banking Business.
• Familiarity with ISO20022 standards.
• Experience with SWIFT messaging protocols.
