Role and Responsibilities

Maintenance Engineer

Location: Hisense Europe HQ Velenje / work in single shift

Department: Hisense Europe Electronics, d.o.o., production of Hisense TV from 34 inch till 166 inch

We’re looking for a skilled and proactive maintenance professional to oversee and execute regular inspections, repairs, and preventive maintenance of machines, tools, and electrical installations. This role involves planning and implementing maintenance schedules, coordinating with contractors, managing shift workers, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Your task will be to connect the right people, structure the path forward, and enable an idea to evolve into a clear, feasible concept with proven business value.

Your responsibilities:

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will:

• Plan and perform regular maintenance and inspections of machines, tools, lifts, and other equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical installations, devices, and components, including lighting, heating, fans, and control systems
• Maintain accurate technical and maintenance documentation
• Order essential spare parts to minimize downtime and ensure quick issue resolution
• Monitor machine performance and report issues to leadership
• Coordinate shift work, evaluate team performance, and support on-the-job training
• Propose improvements to maintenance processes and suggest technical and economic optimizations
• Collaborate with contractors and internal teams to align maintenance activities
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and fire protection regulations

What you bring:

• Proven experience in maintenance of industrial equipment and electrical systems
• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to minimizing downtime
• Ability to manage tasks independently while collaborating across departments
• Clear communication and reporting skills, especially when coordinating with teams and contractors
• Familiarity with safety standards, technical documentation, and maintenance planning
• Fluent in English and Slovenian
