Junior Data Scientist

We are seeking a highly motivated Junior Data Scientist to support economic/financial market data management processes. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in data science, proficiency in Python and Matlab, and familiarity with statistical tools and techniques.

This is an initial 6 month contract, and would require regular work on site in Basel.

Responsibilities:

• Clean, organise, and standardise data from diverse sources.
• Prepare ready-for-use datasets for economists and researchers.
• Implement quality control measures to ensure data accuracy and consistency.
• Interpret and manage data in alignment with research objectives.

Requirements:

• Strong foundation in data science as a Data Scientist/Research Analyst
• Proficiency in Python or Matlab
• Familiarity with statistical tools and techniques
• Solid understanding of economics and financial markets
