A leading financial services organisation seeking a Cyber Security Analyst with a strong focus on Identity and Access Management. This role has been created to cover a holiday period on an initial 3-month contract with potential to transition into a permanent role.

The Role

You will support and enhance the organisation’s identity and access management controls, ensuring secure access to critical systems and regulatory compliance. You’ll work closely with IT Security, Infrastructure, and business teams to safeguard sensitive data and support ongoing IDAM projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain IDAM solutions (Azure AD, Microsoft Entra, Conditional Access, Privileged Identity Management).
• Oversee user provisioning/de-provisioning, RBAC, and privileged access management (PAM) within Microsoft ecosystems.
• Monitor and respond to access-related security incidents and escalations.
• Collaborate with IT Security, Risk, and Compliance teams to align with APRA, CPS 234, and internal security standards.
• Support audits, reporting, and remediation activities related to Microsoft IDAM.
• Contribute to process improvements, automation, and identity governance initiatives

About you

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Proven experience as a Cyber Security Analyst with a strong Microsoft IDAM focus.
• Hands-on experience with Azure AD, Microsoft Entra, Conditional Access, PIM, MFA, and other Microsoft identity solutions.
• Understanding of authentication/authorisation protocols (SAML, OAuth, OpenID Connect, LDAP, Kerberos).
• Familiarity with regulatory frameworks in financial services.
• Driven, self-motivated, and proactive in solving security challenges.
• Excellent communication skills, able to liaise effectively with technical and business stakeholders.
• Relevant security certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals / Azure Security Engineer, CISSP, CISM) highly regarded.
