AI/ML Developer

Strata Clean Energy is seeking an AI/ML Developer to support the design, development, and deployment of machine learning solutions that enhance business operations and decision-making. This role involves working across the ML lifecycle—from data preparation and modeling to integration and monitoring. Candidates should have strong Python development skills, hands-on experience in deploying ML models, and familiarity with modern cloud and MLOps practices. Exposure to natural language processing (NLP), generative AI, and experience with Databricks are strong advantages. This position is based out of our HQ location in Durham.

Key Responsibilities

• Model Development: Design and implement machine learning models to address key business challenges.
• Data Preparation: Clean, preprocess, and transform data for model training and evaluation.
• Pipeline Development: Build and maintain automated ML pipelines to support scalable workflows.
• Model Training & Optimization: Train, validate, and optimize models for accuracy and performance.
• Documentation & Templates: Develop standardized templates and technical documentation for AI workflows.
• Deployment & Integration: Work with application teams to deploy models into business applications and services.
• Monitoring & Reliability: Implement monitoring tools to track model performance, detect data drift, and ensure operational reliability.
  
  

Required Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software development using Python.
• 2–3 years of hands-on experience in developing and deploying machine learning models in production environments.
• Proficiency with ML frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
• Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and container orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
• Exposure to NLP and generative AI development is a plus.
• Experience with Databricks is a strong plus.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional application teams.
