Role Description

We’re looking for a Mid-level JavaScript Developer to join our team. You’ll be working across our stack to deliver new features and help shape a product that makes a real difference for our customers. This is a full-time on-site or Hybrid role in Melbourne, VIC. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining software solutions, working on back-end web development, and programming using Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) techniques. Day-to-day tasks include writing and testing code, debugging programs, and collaborating with other team members to meet project goals. The role also involves participating in the software development life cycle and contributing to continuous improvement processes.

Qualifications

• Computer Science and Software Development knowledge
• Experience in Back-End Web Development and Programming
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong communication skills
• Bachelor's degree or Master's in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field
• Experience in the transport, Energy or EV industry is a plus

What You’ll Do

 • Develop and maintain web applications using React (ideally Next.js)

 • Build backend services with Node.js (ideally NestJS)

 • Work with Postgres and/or MongoDB for data storage and retrieval

 • Collaborate with the team to design, implement, and deploy new features

 • Contribute to discussions on architecture, scalability, and best practices

 • (Optional) Work with AWS to support and improve our infrastructure

What We’re Looking For

 • 3+ years of experience with React (Next.js experience preferred)

 • Solid experience with Node.js (NestJS experience is a plus)

 • Hands-on experience with Postgres and/or MongoDB

 • Ability to write clean, maintainable, and testable code

 • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset

 • Great communication and teamwork abilities

 • (Optional) Experience with AWS cloud services
