Job Description – Network Administrator


Position: Network Administrator

Experience Level: 2+ Years

Location: [Onsite/Remote/Hybrid, as per need]

Employment Type: Full-time / Contract



About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Network Administrator with about 2 years of hands-on experience in managing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise IT networks. This role will be part of our internal bench program, with the opportunity to be deployed across client projects in diverse industries.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot LAN, WAN, and wireless networks to ensure optimal performance.
  • Configure and support network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and access points.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining network security protocols, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion prevention systems.
  • Perform routine system upgrades, patches, and backups to keep infrastructure secure and up-to-date.
  • Provide support for end-users by diagnosing and resolving network connectivity issues.
  • Collaborate with IT and project teams to ensure smooth integration of networking components with business applications.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of network configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
  • Support disaster recovery planning and testing to ensure business continuity.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 2+ years of experience in network administration or related IT role.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing/switching concepts.
  • Experience with Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent network equipment.
  • Familiarity with firewall management, VPN setup, and network security best practices.
  • Knowledge of Windows and Linux server environments.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.


Preferred (Nice-to-Have)

  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent).
  • Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
  • Exposure to VoIP and unified communication systems.
  • Knowledge of monitoring tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG.
