As a Senior Software Engineer in the Core API Unit, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust messaging solutions using Apache Kafka to support Luminor’s service-to-service communication, middleware architecture and more. You’ll work in a dynamic Agile environment, ensuring high standards of scalability, performance, and reliability across all business streams.

What You Will Do:
- Design, implement and continuously improve systems for messaging, service to service communication, API, file and workflow management. In order to support all business streams in Luminor.
- Uphold high standards of quality, security, availability, and performance in all solutions, following industry best practices.
- Deliver Proof of Concepts for different initiatives, participate in technical discussions with engineering teams.
- Assist and guide stakeholders in messaging and middleware related challenges.
- Perform tests, troubleshoot software, fix defects
- Get expertise in variety of bank's business processes and products
- Be part of a cross functional Agile development team - or just Agile team
- Work in international environment
- Hands-on experience in software development (as advantage Java, Python)
- Hands-on experience with AWS cloud platform and container orchestration (e.g. Kubernetes, Docker), CI/CD pipelines (e.g. Argo CD).
- Hands-on experience in design and development of streaming, event driven, MQ based architectures utilizing technologies such as Apache Kafka.
- Experience with SQL database technologies, NoSQL databases is an advantage
- Experience with workflow management tools such as Apache AirFlow or Argo Workflows is nice to have.
- Experience with DevOps processes and tools, infrastructure as a code and security best practices.
- Ability to take responsibility and ownership.
- Fluent English is required in spoken and written communication due to working on the Pan-Baltic level.
