Reporting to the Director of Network Security, the Information Technology team is looking for a Network Administrator who takes initiative and is eager to learn new things. In addition to networking responsibilities, the Network Administrator provides general IT support to end-users, assists with systems administration tasks, and helps maintain core IT services across the enterprise. The Network Administrator works closely with IT leadership and support teams to optimize performance, safeguard data, and support business operations. This role is based onsite in Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Responsibilities

Network Administration:

  • Administer, monitor, and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, and VPN connections to ensure availability and performance.
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot network hardware (switches, routers, firewalls, wireless controllers, etc.) and related software.
  • Manage enterprise circuits and coordinate with telecom/network vendors for provisioning, troubleshooting, and service-level compliance.
  • Manage network services such as DNS, DHCP, IP address management, and routing protocols.
  • Implement and enforce network security measures, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, NAC, and endpoint protection.
  • Monitor network traffic and performance; identify and resolve bottlenecks, outages, and vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain documentation of network infrastructure, configurations, diagrams, and procedures.
  • Support disaster recovery, business continuity, and backup strategies.
  • Collaborate with system administrators, security engineers, and application teams to support enterprise IT initiatives.
  • Provide technical support and guidance to helpdesk and end-users for escalated network issues.
  • Stay current with emerging networking technologies, standards, and best practices.

IT Support

  • Installs or assists service personnel in installation of hardware and peripheral components, such as monitors, keyboards, printers, and disk drives on user's premises.
  • Loads specified software packages, such as operating systems, word processing, or spreadsheet programs into computer.
  • Enters commands and observes system functions to verify correct system operation.
  • Instructs users in use of equipment, software, and manuals.
  • Responds to client inquiries concerning systems operation and diagnoses system hardware, software, and operator problems.
  • Coordinates activities with help desk, network services, or other information systems groups.
  • Refers major hardware problems to service personnel for correction.

Qualifications

  • 2-3 years of related experience
  • Experience with Cisco / Cisco Meraki, Office 365 and maintenance of Microsoft Windows
  • Education: Bachelor's degree, or combination of school and experience

Work Environment

  • Full-time, fully onsite role
  • The Network Administrator will float between the organization’s two Miami locations based on operational needs.
  • May require occasional evening or weekend work for maintenance and upgrades.
  • On-call availability for critical network or IT support issues.
