DevOps Engineer – 12+ months – Enschede Area (Hybrid)

Are you a seasoned DevOps Engineer eager to play a pivotal role in digital transformation? We have a 12-month contract opportunity in the Enschede area where you will support and drive the migration to a modern DevOps environment. You will empower engineering teams by enabling efficient, collaborative work processes through the deployment, configuration, and optimization of DevOps tools and platforms.

About the Role

You will work closely with an international cross-functional team, and project managers to modernize software and hardware engineering platforms. This transition will involve significant tool migration, DevOps training initiatives, and enabling software engineers to maximize productivity using the new systems.

Responsibilities

• Lead the migration from legacy tooling to modern DevOps platforms.
• Develop, deploy, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD.
• Manage and optimize containerized applications using tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Provide hands-on training and coaching to internal teams, ensuring a seamless adoption of new DevOps practices.
• Support the integration of private and public cloud services, focusing on scalability and supportability.
• Build out initial projects for tool migration and prepare trainers to extend knowledge and adoption within the organization.

Skills

• Linux systems
• Containerization tools .
• Expertise with GitLab for managing CI/CD pipelines and version control.
• Familiarity with Artifactory, Maven, and Bazel (preferred).
• Fluent in Dutch (required) due to the project nature.
