What You’ll Do
- Automate Deployments: Assist in building and maintaining tools and scripts that automate deployment of applications and infrastructure.
- Support Cloud Infrastructure: Work with AWS or Google Cloud environments under guidance from senior engineers to manage scalable infrastructure.
- Maintain CI/CD Pipelines: Contribute to the execution and refinement of our CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Monitor & Optimize Systems: Help maintain logging and monitoring tools to ensure reliability and performance across environments.
- Troubleshoot Issues: Assist in identifying and resolving issues in development, test, and production environments.
- Support Security Operations: Collaborate with InfoSec on patching and vulnerability management tasks.
- Document Processes: Maintain and contribute to clear, effective documentation for operational workflows and DevOps tools.
- Cloud Fundamentals: Some hands-on experience with AWS or Google Cloud.
- Automation Mindset: Familiarity with infrastructure automation tools (Puppet, Chef, Ansible, etc.) is a plus.
- Scripting Knowledge: Experience with scripting languages like Python, Bash, or Ruby.
- CI/CD Understanding: Basic knowledge of Continuous Integration/Delivery concepts; experience with Jenkins or similar tools is a bonus.
- Container Savvy: Exposure to Docker or container-based environments.
- Problem-Solving Aptitude: A natural curiosity and a drive to improve and automate technical processes.
- Growth-Oriented: A genuine interest in learning more about DevOps practices and technologies.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
- Experience with Kubernetes or other orchestration platforms
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and team workflows
- Knowledge of monitoring/logging tools (Prometheus, Grafana, SumoLogic)
- Understanding of modern deployment patterns (e.g., blue/green, canary)
