Job Description – UI/UX Designer (Senior)
Job Title: UI/UX Designer
Work Location: Montagne du Parc 3, 1000 Brussels
Start Date: 20/10/2025
End Date: 30/04/2026
Responsibilities
As a UI/UX Designer, you will:
- Translate concept designs into user flows and screen states with intuitive and visually appealing interfaces.
- Gather input from stakeholders on user needs and technical feasibility.
- Apply best-in-class design practices, inspired by both financial and non-financial sectors.
- Ensure intuitive information hierarchy and usability at screen level.
- Design high-fidelity mockups and prototypes.
- Incorporate feedback from usability testing.
- Collaborate with a dedicated UX copywriter for content integration.
- Actively contribute to the design system (mobile-first, native & web).
- Participate in the UX UI Community of Practice (COP UXUI) to share best practices, co-create patterns, and enhance standards.
- Support concept designers during ideation and lead refinement phases.
- Deliver pixel-perfect prototypes to development squads and follow up on implementation.
Required Skills & Competencies
Technical / Craft Skills
- Strong Mobile-First mindset with experience in mobile native design.
- Knowledge of Material Design and Human Interface Guidelines.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and Scrum practices.
- Accessibility expertise, including WCAG guidelines and their impact on design.
- Proficiency in design tools (Figma, Zeplin, etc.).
- Experience working with design systems (consuming, creating, and improving components).
- Understanding of the technical impact of designs; front-end development knowledge is a plus.
- Strong documentation skills for handover to developers and researchers.
Languages
- French or Dutch: C1 level (proficient, ideally native).
- English: B1/B2 level (good spoken and written proficiency).
