Information Security Specialist

Description:

AGCSOFT is looking for a skilled Information Security Specialist with a strong technical background and real-world experience in offensive security. This role combines vulnerability assessment, internal support, and close collaboration with development and infrastructure teams.

Monthly gross salary range 3500 EUR - 5500 EUR.

Requirements:

• 2+ years of hands-on experience;
• Solid understanding of network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and web technologies;
• Strong skills in vulnerability assessment, manual verification, and exploitation techniques;
• Experience with tools like Burp Suite, Nmap, Nikto, OWASP ZAP, Metasploit, Nuclei e.t.c.;
• Good understanding of ISO/IEC 27001 requirements;
• Fluency in Latvian and English is a must;
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities:

• Main responsibility is to perform regular penetration tests on infrastructure, applications, and services;
• Review and validate results from automated vulnerability scanners (e.g., OpenVAS, Nessus);
• Communicate verified findings to development and infrastructure teams for remediation;
• Participate in incident response investigations and root cause analysis;
• Support ISO 27001 audit preparation and evidence collection;
• Maintain and update security documentation, procedures, and playbooks.

Will be considered as advantage:

• Certifications such as OSCP, eJPT, CEH, CompTIA Pentest or similar;
• Experience with SIEM solutions (e.g., Wazuh, Splunk);
• Knowledge of PowerShell, Bash, or Python scripting;
• Previous experience in IT support or system administration.
