To support our growing initiatives in self-service BI, self-service analytics, and advanced analytics, we are expanding our Data & Analytics team with a hands-on, technically skilled Data & Analytics Engineer.
What do we expect from our new team member?
- Design, develop, and manage data pipelines and ETL processes on platforms (i.e. SSIS, SQL Server, Azure Data Factory/Fabric) to feed our Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW).
- Integrate diverse data sources (i.e. enterprise sources like SAP, SAP BW, SQL Server, IoT systems and business sources like market data, 3rd-party APIs) to deliver analytics-ready datasets.
- Build and maintain scalable data systems, data models and data products that power enterprise reporting systems and self-service analytics across business teams (note: dashboard/report creation is not part of this role).
- Own and manage data governance processesincluding metadata management, data lineage, report lineage, data quality, and data cataloging (with tools like Informatica).
- Own and manage integration and API catalog
- Optimize large-scale datasets to ensure query efficiency and scalability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (data scientists, analysts, and business stakeholders) to design data structures that support business KPIs and reporting.
- Contribute to the design and deployment of scalable data architecture in Azure Fabric and EDW environments, ensuring future-proof solutions.
What kind of teammate are we looking for?
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- 4+ years of experience in data engineering or data architecture roles.
- Advanced SQL skills for data transformation and performance optimization.
- Strong hands-on expertise with SSIS and SQL Server for ETL and data pipeline development.
- Experience or willingness to advance in Azure Data Factory/Fabric.
- Proficiency in Python (basic to intermediate, for automation and data processing).
- Familiarity with metadata, data lineage, and cataloging tools (e.g., Informatica).
- Experience in optimizing large-scale SQL Server environments (indexing, partitioning, query tuning).
- Understanding of ETL/ELT best practices, data modeling, governance, and security.
- Ability to work with and guide external consultants while ensuring best practices and process sustainability.
- Curious, self-driven, with strong analytical and communication skills.
