THE ROLE

We are seeking a talented and experienced (Senior) DevOps Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a DevOps Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and developing robust, scalable, and high-performance cloud solutions for our applications. You will collaborate with other DevOps Engineers and in a cross-functional team to deliver solutions that meet our infrastructure needs. You will help in architecture, large scale debugging efforts, observability best practices and ensuring that the developer teams are creating maintainable software.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Development and maintenance of our cloud infrastructure: We are with Azure for our cloud infrastructure and make use of Pulumi as our IaC provider
• Optimize infrastructure performance and ensure scalability
• Take part in making sure services are scalable and are scaled in the infrastructure (less about dynamically up- and down scaling but more about applications abilities)
• Review current processes, practices and high impact issues and be pro-active about finding (better) solutions
• Stay updated with emerging trends and technologies in the field of dev ops and cloud solutions

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• We are working from different offices internationally and/or remote, thus excellent communication and collaboration skills are a must
• Several years experience with Microsoft Azure is a must have
• Infrastructure as Code (we are using Pulumi but any IaC experience is well appreciated)
• 5+ years of experience in a (Senior) Dev Ops or System Administration position
• Leadership and mentoring experience

OPTIONAL SKILLS

• Startup experience
• Usage and integration of OpenTelemetry
• Grafana LGTM (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir (or Prometheus)) stack
• Worked with Microservices in a production environment
• Experience with at least 2 programming languages, preferably one of them being Python or Javascript/Typescript
• 2+ years of experience in backend development

• Full-time employee (40 hours/week)
• Reports to Global Head of R&D and Software Engineering
• Location: The Netherlands, Germany, UK
• Compensation depending on qualifications and experience
