Job Description

For our growing portfolio of customer projects, we are seeking a motivated Junior Project Manager to join our team. This role is crucial in supporting the successful delivery of a variety of analysis, cooperation, and development projects, from initiation to completion. The Junior Project Manager will work closely with internal teams, external partners, and customers to ensure projects are executed efficiently and meet quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in defining project scopes, objectives, deliverables, and timelines
  • Create and maintain project plans, monitoring progress and milestones
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to ensure smooth execution
  • Clarify project requirements and assess technical readiness or data compatibility
  • Support validation of deliverables to meet standards
  • Identify and help mitigate risks; escalate issues when needed
  • Contribute to delivering projects on time, within scope, and budget
  • Help manage customer relationships and satisfaction
  • Monitor resource availability and allocation

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Natural Sciences, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field
  • Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies
  • 1-2 years of experience in professional project coordination, analysis, or a related role.
  • Familiarity with project management software and tools
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge in effort estimation and project planning for smaller to medium projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to lead smaller to medium teams including resources and time planning, progress tracking, status updates
  • Strong sense of communication and being able to transfer information between technical and non-technical teams
  • Available to work during Central European Time (CET) business hours and sporadically hold meetings in US time zones
  • Knowledge in scope management, able to Identify change requests and scope creeps and escalates to senior members
  • Good knowledge of project risk management, able to identify common project risks and to mitigate or escalate them to senior members
  • Sound Background in regulatory compliance for medical devices (MDR / FDA) is a plus
  • Background knowledge in Ophthalmology is a plus
