We are seeking an experienced Scrum Master with strong knowledge of Agile practices and the banking/financial services domain. The Scrum Master will act as a servant-leader and coach for Agile teams, ensuring adherence to Agile principles, removing impediments, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. The ideal candidate should have prior experience working with banking products, compliance-driven environments, and large-scale transformation initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a Scrum Master for one or more Agile teams, guiding them to deliver high-quality banking/financial solutions.
- Facilitate Scrum ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Review, Retrospective, and Backlog Refinement).
- Partner with Product Owners to ensure the backlog is well-groomed, prioritized, and aligned with business goals.
- Remove impediments and resolve conflicts that hinder the team's progress.
- Track and report on team performance metrics (velocity, burndown, etc.) to stakeholders.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, trust, and continuous improvement within the team.
- Ensure adherence to banking regulations, compliance requirements, and security best practices during delivery.
- Collaborate with other Scrum Masters, Agile Coaches, and Release Train Engineers in a scaled Agile environment (SAFe/LeSS).
- Act as a change agent, helping stakeholders and leadership adopt Agile ways of working.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Scrum Master (5+ years preferred), ideally in the banking/financial services domain.
- Strong understanding of Agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe).
- Hands-on experience with Agile tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, Rally, Azure DevOps).
- Excellent facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Knowledge of banking/financial products, regulatory compliance, and risk management processes.
- Ability to work in complex, matrixed organizations and manage multiple dependencies.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Scrum Master (CSM), SAFe Scrum Master (SSM), PSM I/II, or equivalent.
