Senior PHP Developer

Eir evo talent has partnered with a client in the educational public sector client in Dublin. We are on the lookout for a senior PHP Developer with strong experience in modern web development frameworks and database technologies. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem solver who can design, build, and maintain scalable applications while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams. This is day rate contract opportunity which requires an onsite requirement of 1 day onsite per month in Dublin.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize web applications using PHP 7/8 with Laravel and Symfony frameworks.
• Design and manage data storage solutions with MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB, and Redis.
• Build and integrate RESTful APIs and GraphQL services for scalable applications.
• Collaborate with front-end teams to deliver seamless user experiences using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and frameworks such as Vue.js, React, and Angular.
• Write clean, reusable, and well-documented code following best practices.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, and debugging to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and recommend improvements to enhance performance, scalability, and maintainability.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Proven experience as a PHP Developer (7+ years preferred).
• Strong expertise with Laravel and/or Symfony frameworks.
• Proficiency in relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and non-relational databases (MongoDB, Redis).
• Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and GraphQL endpoints.
• Solid knowledge of HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
• Hands-on experience with modern front-end frameworks: Vue.js, React, Angular.

Nice to Have

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure).
