A remote, junior-level Data Scientist role is currently available, offering an opportunity to contribute to a prominent CS Analytics team from anywhere in Canada. This position is tailored for those with a foundational understanding of data science, particularly in Natural Language Processing (NLP), and experience working with SQL, Python, GCP, Airflow, Tableau, and Amplitude.
The focus of this role is on managing data challenges, maintaining data pipelines, and generating actionable insights that guide business decisions. This role requires collaboration across product, engineering, and operations teams, with an emphasis on supporting ongoing projects through advanced data science principles.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
Conduct exploratory analyses to deepen understanding of key drivers of user conversion, retention, and engagement.
Oversee the data science lifecycle, from extraction and transformation to analysis and model deployment.
Apply advanced NLP techniques to extract insights from unstructured data sources.
Develop and maintain dashboards for monitoring product experiments, business unit performance, and key metrics.
Communicate complex analytical findings in a clear and actionable manner to non-technical stakeholders.
Required Qualifications:
Foundational experience with SQL for database management and complex queries.
Proficiency in Python for data preparation, analysis, and model development.
Basic experience with data mining, machine learning, and statistical modeling tools.
Familiarity with building and managing data pipelines using Airflow on GCP.
Knowledge of business reporting tools like Tableau and Amplitude for data visualization.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a focus on deriving insights from complex business data.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in the travel or hospitality industry.
Understanding of revenue management models in the travel industry.
