We're in the middle of a strategic and exciting evolution. Our company is powered by an established platform (WordPress, PHP, Vue), but we're building our future on a modern, serverless architecture using TypeScript, AWS, and SST.

Role Overview

We are looking for a thoughtful and forward-thinking Full Stack Developer to help us accelerate this transition. This isn't a "big bang" rewrite; it's a careful, piece-by piece evolution. You'll spend the majority of your time building new services in our modern stack, while also providing support for our legacy system.

This is a high-impact role for someone who loves to build new things but also understands the pragmatism of working with an existing codebase.

What You'll Do:

  • Build the Future: Your primary focus will be designing, developing, and deploying robust, scalable services on our new serverless platform using TypeScript, SST, and AWS.
  • Bridge the Legacy: You'll get familiar with our legacy PHP/Vue and WordPress systems. You don't need to be an expert, but you'll be comfortable navigating the code to maintain critical functionality and identify strategic pieces to rebuild.
  • Architect Integrations: Design and implement the APIs and services that allow our new and legacy platforms to work together seamlessly during this evolution.
  • Drive Modern Practices: Champion best practices like automated testing, CI/CD, and infrastructure-as-code in our new environment.
  • Influence the Roadmap: Your insights into both systems will be crucial in helping us plan what we build next and how we build it.

What We're Looking For:

We're looking for a developer who is passionate about building modern applications and is excited by the architectural challenge of platform evolution. Our ideal candidate is a strong problem-solver who is eager to learn and contribute.

Your skills and experience might look something like this:

  • Solid professional experience with TypeScript and a modern frontend framework (e.g., Vue, React). Our new backend is TypeScript as well.
  • A willingness to dive into an existing PHP and Vue.js codebase. You don't need to be a guru, just comfortable reading existing code and making targeted changes.
  • Experience or a strong interest in AWS and serverless concepts (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB).
  • A good understanding of API design and how to make different services communicate effectively.
  • A collaborative and proactive mindset.
