Cyber Security Tester
Location: Remote
Salary: Up to £60k
Employment type: Permanent / Full-Time
Applicants will need to be eligible for SC clearance.
I’m partnered with a well-established UK Managed Service Provider that is continuing to strengthen its cyber security capability. They are now looking to add a skilled Cyber Security Tester to their team, someone who can deliver high-quality testing engagements and help clients better understand their risk exposure.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on testing, has a sharp eye for detail, and can confidently explain technical vulnerabilities in a way that resonates with both technical teams and senior business stakeholders.
What you’ll get:
- Up to £60,000 salary package
- Fully remote role, with occasional UK client visits where required
- Exposure to a wide variety of systems and environments across application, infrastructure, and network security
- Ongoing training and support with professional certifications such as CREST
- The chance to lead on client projects as well as contribute individually
What they’re looking for:
- A track record (1–2 years+) in penetration testing, ideally across both web applications and infrastructure
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, networks, and common operating systems (Windows, Linux, Solaris, etc.)
- Knowledge of security build reviews and database security practices
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to write clear, concise reports and adapt messaging for technical and non-technical audiences
- A genuine passion for cyber security and continuous learning
The organisation places a strong emphasis on quality and client service, so this role suits someone who takes pride in thorough, methodical testing and who understands the business impact of security issues.
If you’re looking for a new opportunity where you can work remotely, develop your expertise, while contributing to a fast-growing security function, I’d be keen to speak with you.
