Lyceum is building a user-centric GPU cloud from the ground up. Our mission is to make high-performance computing seamless, accessible, and tailored to the needs of modern AI and ML workloads. We're not just deploying infrastructure, we’re designing and building our own large-scale GPU clusters from scratch. The Role: Software Engineering Intern

Join our core product team and help turn complex infra into clear, developer-friendly product surfaces. You’ll contribute to backend and platform features that make “run on GPU” feel instant—across APIs, services, reliability, and observability.

What we are working on

• APIs for job submission, scheduling, usage & billing
• Runtime services for images, storage, networking, and identity
• Telemetry pipelines and data models for product metrics
• Reliability tooling, rollout systems, and incident response
• Developer ergonomics: local dev, testing, CI/CD, perf

What We’re Looking For

• Enrollment in CS, Engineering, Physics/Math, or similar (or equivalent experience)
• Ownership & urgency - you like to ship, learn, iterate
• Solid fundamentals in at least one backend language (Python/Go/TypeScript/etc.)
• Familiarity with APIs, Git, testing, and basic cloud/Linux workflows

Bonus Points

• Experience with distributed systems, containers, and orchestration
• Background in observability, cost/usage metering, or security
• Strong API design instincts and data modeling
• FastAPI experience for building service endpoints
• Kubernetes expertise (beyond basics)
